A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S - Management change


Thomas Thune Andersen will leave his position as CEO of Maersk Oil and Partner
of Firmaet A.P. Møller by the end of August 2009. New CEO of Maersk Oil will be
Jakob Thomasen who most recently has been head of exploration and business
development in Maersk Oil. Furthermore, he will become a member of the
Executive Board of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group. 

Thomas Thune Andersen has been with the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group for 32
years, a Partner since 2005 and for the last five years CEO of Maersk Oil. 

Jakob Thomasen, 47, was head of Maersk Oil's activities in Qatar in the period
2004-2009. As a geologist, Jakob Thomasen began his career in Maersk Oil in
1988. He has extensive operational and international experience within
exploration and production combined with strong management skills. 

The owners of Firmaet A.P. Møller will subsequently be Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller,
Nils S. Andersen, Claus V. Hemmingsen, Eivind Kolding and Søren Skou. 

The Executive Board will consist of Nils S. Andersen, Claus V. Hemmingsen,
Eivind Kolding, Søren Skou and Jakob Thomasen.
